Gary helping himself

"A man can live and be healthy without killing animals for food; therefore, if he eats meat, he participates in taking animal life merely for the sake of his appetite. And to act so is immoral."
Leo Tolstoy

Help Us - Introduction

Urgent - Autumn Appeal

There are many ways you can help. Financial donations are one of the most important to the running of the rescue. We are funded wholly on caring people's goodwill. Our food and vets bills don't get paid my themselves! Offering to help is such a wonderful gesture and people genuinely do want to help the animals.

So what can you do to help?

We have lots of ideas of ways to improve the lives of the animals here. Many of them, almost certainly, will be permanent residents that may well live well into their 30's. The cost of feeding and veterinary attention that one single animal will incur in that time will amount to thousands if not tens of thousands of pounds.
So, as you can see, money and how to raise it plays a huge part in our day to day thoughts.

A wonderful way of helping the sanctuary would be to sponsor an animal or, perhaps, hold a fund-raising event on our behalf. Maybe you might like to take responsibility for a particular project, raise the money, and see it through to completion.

These are just a few ideas of how you might like to support the animals at F.R.I.E.N.D.

Please do consider supporting us and help those that are not able to help themselves.
