Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat...
Our beautiful
geese are, indeed, getting fat and looking forward to a merry Christmas
and a happy New Year.
It’s hard to credit that these loving, generous creatures are regarded
as little more than a festive commodity.
Each evening our lovely geese come back from their day’s adventure
only to stand at our backdoor, asking to be put to bed. Together we walk
to their little house where they enter and wait for us to close the door
on the world. Come morning they exit excitedly, flapping their wings and
honking in the sunshine, glorious in a day without fear.
Bless them, our geese are tireless in protecting the sanctuary and always
alert us to the arrival of visitors. They work hard to keep us all safe
and we are grateful to them for that.
WHO COULD EAT SUCH A LOYAL FRIEND?????
A BIG, MASSIVE “THANK YOU” TO ALL OF OUR SUPPORTERS THROUGH 2005.
Just how nice can people be? Much more generous, thoughtful and kind than we could have ever hoped for - that’s how nice!!!!
To say that we’ve made friends during 2005 is an understatement. We’ve had the pleasure of our supporter's company for work weekends, fundraising events and visits. People have told us that the animals have had an impact on them that has changed the way that they view the world. Wow!, nothing big, then!!!
We cannot
afford to send cards but we can send ours and the animals love and thanks
and wish you all a very, very, very,
Merry Christmas. Xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
HAPPY ENDING FOR BEN
Ben, the
elderly Stafforshire Bull Terrier who lived rough on the streets. Ben’s
life consisted of sleeping beside cars for warmth and eating whatever scraps
he could find. We were alerted to his plight and stepped in before he could
be destroyed by the local authority.
As we speak Ben is snuggled on the sofa of his new home. His new family
adore him and our job is done. All thanks to you. xx
Thank you once again for helping us to help them. xx
