"A man can live and be healthy without killing animals for food; therefore, if he eats meat, he participates in taking animal life merely for the sake of his appetite. And to act so is immoral."

Our Animals - Adoption

At the moment we only have a ferret for rehoming/adoption but as with all sanctuaries things are always changing, so If you are interested in finding out more about the animals or other related issues then do continue to browse the site or contact us.

PEARL THE FERRET - Feb '07

We have a smashing little female ferret that we’d love to find a home for. She’s a pretty, pale polecat marked girl. We don’t know her age but she gives every indication of being young. Her temperament is good but she would love to interact so much more than she does now.

We won’t home to anyone looking to use her for hunting purposes but she’d make a lovely companion animal for the right person. She currently has the run of two rooms in the house so hutches need not apply unless it’s for short periods only.

It is so very easy to find yourself falling in love with the animal that came to you so lost and alone. Yet, to see that same animal go into a new environment and thrive in a family is the greatest joy of all. You can see some of the animals homed by F.R.I.E.N.D. here

Below are some more of the animals that reside at FRIEND...

All beings tremble before violence.
All fear death, all love life.
See yourself in others.
Then whom can you hurt?
What harm can you do?
